Saghar Khakdan

Saghar Khakdan was born in Shiraz in 1987 and graduated from the Architecture University in 2010. In 2011, she co-founded an architecture and design office called “SA” with Alireza Emtiaz. One of their projects, the Salt restaurant, won the top prize at the 2013 Architect Awards.
Khakdan has always viewed design as a holistic approach that tackles human conflicts in various ways. She established the SA factory further to explore Iranian aesthetics and its relevance in modern life, focusing on industrial design and creating furniture, pianos, and jewellery. Through ongoing research, she aims to bridge traditional Iranian aesthetics with contemporary living.
