Mehrdad Mohebali

Mehrdad Mohebali was born in 1960 in Tehran. He graduated in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. In 1991, he held his first solo exhibition at the Sabz Gallery. His artworks have been showcased domestically and internationally in both solo and group exhibitions. Additionally, his works have been sold in numerous auctions worldwide. Identity crisis and historical confusion are common themes in Mehrdad Mohebali’s paintings. He approaches his art critically and portrays historical heroes and politicians as equally ineffective in forming individual identities compared to ordinary people.
