Saber Abar, an Iranian actor and theatre director, was born on June 8, 1984, in Tehran. With a passion for the arts, he pursued an education in acting and obtained an Artistic Certificate Grade 2, equivalent to a master’s degree. Alongside his acting career, he is also a skilled photographer and the Founder and Managing Director of Inja Miyane Shahr, a Cultural Centre and Gallery. Abar has directed various stage productions, including “Ands and Commas” in 2005, “Dying 20 times in 30 days” in 2009, and “Unripe Oranges” in 2015. He is actively involved in visual arts, having conducted research on the missing persons of the 40s (in the Iranian solar calendar). He has also created video arts and made a collection of silkscreens. In 2018, Abar took on the role of Manager at Inja Miyane Shahr Gallery, organizing shows and displays. Additionally, he has published four books on culture and arts and authored “When you betray a secret” in 2014 and “to Seven Houses away” in 2018, a study of people and their tastes. Abar has been teaching dramatic arts and conducting professional courses in acting since 2014. As the Founder and Managing Director of Inja Miyane Shahr, he is actively involved in various theatrical and cinematic activities including teaching, acting, directing, and scriptwriting. Abar’s artistic journey also led him to furniture design, where he combines contemporary art with everyday life, aiming to challenge conventional tastes.
